QuestioningQuestioning is becoming more and more a lost art. With practice however questioning becomes a more natural process in deciphering the messages we call emotions. Children know this instinctively, they do it with the greatest ease and shameless abandon. Unfortunately and inevitably children learn to ask less and less and accept more and more the way things are 'supposed' to be. This childhood questioning eventually dwindles to a trickle and an old generation is reborn with similar habits, feelings (or lack of) and similard solutions (or lack of). It's an irony that we teach children to give up being inquisitive and spontanious which could lead them to live more fulfilling and rewarding lives.

In order to get to where we say we want to be, we must first acknowledge what is going on. Once we know how we feel and why, we can then proceed to explore possible solutions. We all have the ability to quesion who we are and who we want to become because we are all capable of communication and that is the basis for self discovery.

Children have a much greater potential to discover because they still have the innocence to look at life from an untainted perspective tand to wonder about all possibilities. Maybe instead of teaching children to ask less, we as adults should question more and find the answers together.

Sometimes it's hard to question what we're so used to doing and take for granted. Sometimes things don't work and we don't know why but we don't change anything. No action produces no results! And the action required could be as simple as sitting and wondering about what you want and what to change in order to move in that direction.
