Frequently asked questions

Frequently asked questions on Youtalkabout.comQ: How can I benefit from this?

A: Youtalkabout allows you to express what you're going through in a private setting. Sometimes we don't feel comfortable talking about feeling afraid, insecure or judged. Using this format can help identify how you feel and better understand the emotion. You can then process how you're feeling through a series of questions and either save it to your personal journal, post it for feedback or delete it. Whatever suits you best.

Q: Who else is on this site?

A: People from all walks of life. People you don't know but with whom you share common feelings. It doesn't matter what you do, where you come from, what you know, what your background is or how much education you have. You all have shared feelings and sometimes the best feedback comes from a collection of opinions and ideas from various viewpoints. Take the feedback that feels good for you and share your thoughts where you can, if you feel like it.

Q: When can I use this?

A: Whenever you feel you need to explore something at a deeper level. If you feel 'confused' in a coffee shop about a work related issue, log in and write down what's going on around your confusion. Come back to it whenever you want. Post it on line if you want input from others or check in with the people that you connect with and have designated as 'private friends'.

Q: How is my privacy assured?

A: You choose your own login name and password. You can use whatever name you like. No one else sees it. Anonymity is assured.

Q: Is there a membership fee?

A: There is a membership fee. At this time I'm trying to get funding so that I can devote more time to administering and update the site on a daily basis.

Q: How private are the conversations?

A: As private as you want them to be. If you don't want to share what you've written save it to 'My journal' or delete it, sometimes you just need to get it out and that's enough. If you want a private conversation with someone you connect with you can choose that too. And of course if you want more feedback there's the public forum.

Q: What happens after the 30 day trial period?

A: You can either become a paying member or discontinue use with no further obligation.
