Teens are Losing Interest in Facebook by kele - Tuesday, November 5, 2013 - 16:42

Source: ReutersWow! We, as adults, are still trying to understand how Facebook works. Our kids, especially teens, are already getting bored with Facebook and are thinking about  moving on... unbelievable! No wonder technology moves so fast. So what is coming next?

Inspired - Chorge by Chorge - Sunday, October 27, 2013 - 22:55

Q. Talk about it! I feel inspired when / because:

I feel inspired because I just watched some inspiring videos.

Q. This is the catalyst for creation! Talk about what or who stimulates you in this positive way?

I think that what you expose yourself to has a real impact on how you feel. To make it a habit and repeat this practice is making a difference on how I feel about life.

Q. Where will inspiration lead you? What will you create in the future?

I'm not sure at this point but right now it feels like I have the answers within me. I don't know what they are yet but I feel more confident that I will find out as I go along. To be with myself and feel comfortable is reassuring.

Q. How does feeling this way impact/affect your life

Common sense by Seeker - Saturday, October 26, 2013 - 19:56
From the London Times.....Absolutely Brilliant

Today we mourn the passing of a beloved old friend, Common Sense ,
who has been with us for many years. No one knows for sure
how old he was, since his birth records were long ago lost in bureaucratic
red tape. He will be remembered as having cultivated such valuable lessons

- Knowing when to come in out of the rain;

- Why the early bird gets the worm;

- Life isn't always fair;

- And maybe it was my fault.

Common Sense lived by simple, sound financial policies (don't spend more
today by talker8 - Friday, October 25, 2013 - 10:56

Today is a new day! I like how each morning seems to (sometimes) bring with it a new perspective or attitude compared to the day before. Yesterday I was feeling down but I let myself feel it and went with the energy which was low and discouraged. I lay on the bed and allowed my thoughts (about everything) just go and do their thing without trying to find a solution, just looking at them and considering their impact on my life. I fell into a restfull sleep and today it's like the issues were reset and I can start this day with a different look on all the things that yesterday seemed overwhelming. In fact today a big issue that was bothering me was resolved with a surprisingly quick solution.

Duffy and Harper's War over the Senate Scandal by kele - Wednesday, October 23, 2013 - 10:28

Duffy and Harper's War over the Senate ScandalDid you watch the CBC news last night? What a show! I guess that Senator Mike Duffy has nothing to lose at this point.  Basically he dropped a bomb in the Senate yesterday. I am starting to believe his side of the story. It simply seems to make sense. Anyway, it will be very interesting to see how Prime Minister Steven Harper defends himself. Is he going to create another story to cover this up? Or, who else can he fire? Can he just ingore it?

The political war has just began!

Justin Trudeau's Public Speaking Skills by kele - Tuesday, October 22, 2013 - 13:57

Justin TrudeauEver since Justin Trudeau became the leader of the Liberal party, I have been disappointed with his public speaking skills. He uses too much of uh, and, ah, in many of his sentences. I have found it really annoying and distracting. He is young and a lot people probably think he will be the future Prime Minister of Canada.  However, I personally believe his uhs and ahs show him to be less confident as a leader.  Nevertheless, have you noticed that recently, Justin Trudeau has almost gotten rid of those non-confidence uhs and ahs?  Good for him! I am glad to see that!

Take your dog for a walk by kele - Monday, October 21, 2013 - 17:26

Such a beautiful sunny day! Instead of letting your dog get bored and fat, simply just take your dog for a walk. Maybe, just maybe, maybe take your dog to the park. Get some exercise for both you and your little fur ball :-)

Discouraged - Seeker by Seeker - Friday, October 18, 2013 - 09:58

Q. Talk about it! I feel discouraged when / because:

because the results I get for my enthusiasm and effort don't seem to add up or get shot down by people who don't understand or think that they know better.

Q. What do you hope for and what impact will it have on your life and others?

I want to have some kind of success at what I'm doing without feeling that I'm wired for failure because of past messages or not 'really' wanting to succeed.

Q. How can you become encouraged, inspired and motivated? What do you have to tell yourself?

I don't know, I think I've done that up until now, maybe I need to take a break and regroup. It kinda takes the pleasure element out of it to have to suck it up and push through.

Nice weather by anontoo - Wednesday, October 16, 2013 - 13:00

I'm wondering if the weather really has an affect on how we feel or are we affected by it because of what the 'studies' have told us. I find that I can feel great on a rainy day and crappy on a sunny day so maybe it depends on how Im feeling to begin with. Maybe it always starts from within??

Men and Women and communication by Charlotte - Monday, October 14, 2013 - 21:22

Can anybody give me some insight as to why men and women seem to think and communicate differently? I used to think that we really do come from "different planets" but someone told me recentlythat  its actually conditioning that we've been brought up with.. If this is so how can we balance this out?

Choice by Herenow - Sunday, October 13, 2013 - 10:05

Just read a quote on here about choice; "if you don't think you have a choice then you've given yourself no other choice but to do that". I like this one cause it reminds me again that I am the most influencial person in how my life turns out. I do have the choise (not that I always think that way) to decide what I participate in, whether it's spending time on my own so that I can think about what I want or spending time with others, participating in activities that stimulate me or activities that  just kill time distracting myself. I think it's the little choices that make the biggest difference casue their sum total makes the biggest difference even though their importance may seem insignificant. The little choices give me a chance to adapt, adjust and reconsider my decision and what affect it will have on the bigger picture.

What about Thanksgiving by talker8 - Friday, October 11, 2013 - 11:45

Just wanted to know what people think about Thanksgiving. Do we really give thanks and appreciate what we have in our lives or is it just another reason to stuff our faces? Maybe this is one of those holidays that makes some people feel worse because they feel that they're not a part of a bigger family or community? I like to watch things unfold so it doesn't affect me one way or another.

Bummed out - Herenow by Herenow - Thursday, October 10, 2013 - 16:25

Q. Talk about it! I feel bummed out when / because:

It's just one of those days... just want to reach out and not have to go thorugh this alone.

Q. How does feeling this way impact/affect your life

It's like an overwhelming feeling that just keeps me down, like I don't or can't look up.

Q. Describe your actions and the situation you were in when you first felt the emotion?

Well the car didn't start (no pun intended) to start things off and it just kinda went downhill from there. A friend of mine is pissed cause I wasn't able to meet up with her and she is taking it personally. The check that was supposed to be here in the mail didn't come. I had an allergic reaction (slight) when I was having lunch. If I could replay this day I'd stay in bed and wait it out till tomorrow.

Seeing more by Ogee - Wednesday, October 9, 2013 - 14:36

Hurt can cause us to have tunnel vision in the direction of hopelessness and yet every day people are making efforts to make things work.  Sadly this often goes unnoticed and this can only lead to further discouragement. By seeing these efforts, I encourage the growth of hope both in myself and other.

Indifferent - Herenow by Herenow - Tuesday, October 8, 2013 - 20:08

Q. Talk about it! I feel indifferent when / because:

Well I was just shuffling through the emotions and this one came up. I think this is what I've been feeling the last few days. I think it started when I became overloaded with work and other things going on in my life.

Q. Should you be interested or concerned and who does it make a difference to?

I think I need to focus on the lack of interest or tuning out of the other stuff. Seems like I just shut down cause I've reached my max.

Q. Indifference is interesting (and revealing) because it tells you that you're not interested in something and that tells you a lot. What would you rather be doing or investing your time in?

I feel good by Herenow - Tuesday, October 8, 2013 - 20:00

I just stumbled onto this site, read some stuff and it looks pretty interesting. I'm still surfing around it, checking out what's on here, maybe I'll run into someone. Cheers

Is it worth to spend money to send your children to a private school? by kele - Monday, October 7, 2013 - 14:40

We have heard a lot of our friends complaining about the quality of education that they have received from some private schools. In fact, one of our friends just pulled her daughter out from a private Christian high school and put her into a public high school because she felt that her daughter would get a better education. What are your opinions?

Clumsy - Seeker by Seeker - Sunday, October 6, 2013 - 12:52

Q. Talk about it! I feel clumsy when / because:

When I don't feel good about myself. When I feel insecure or for whatever other reason, because I don't like my hair then it seems to affect the rest of my day. I start stumbling or talk too loud or soft of say the wrong thing and feel stupid. You name it, I may as well admit that it's going to be one of those days and go back to bed.

Q. Do you feel judged by your feelings of clumsiness or are you the judge and why?

Yes absolutely, I have the impression that I'm wearing Mickey Mouse ears. I probably am the judge cause it could be a different day with the same circumstance and I feel good about myself and I walk with confidence

Q. If this is a situation that's important for you to continue, what are some possible solutions to improve things?

Better - Seeker by Seeker - Sunday, October 6, 2013 - 12:40

Q. Talk about it! I feel better when / because:

I feel better now, I know that's kinda vague but as I'm scanning the next question I see that I'll be able to answer that.

Q. How did you feel before and what was the cause of those emotions?

I felt lonely before cause I was missing having my people/family around me. I guess sometimes it just happens for whatever reason. In fact it's interesting how maybe one or two little things can change the way we feel. I think maybe it was just the weather that made me feel that way. I seem to be 'better' now that it's sunny out.

Q. How have the negative emotions helped you to choose more favorable ones?
