Interesting to see it from that perspective. I'll have to think about that one, instead of telling myself that I don't have a choice. However if there's chocolate involved...

Reminds me of a story I read about a while ago. Someone interviewed two sons whose father was in prison for various crimes. One of the sons was also in prison and the other one had a good job, was married with children and seemed relatively happy. When the sons were asked the same question; "How did you end up like this" they both gave the same response; "with a father like that what else could I do!" I guess they both gave themselves the only choice they felt possible.

That's a good story as an example for people to be aware of the choices we are brought up to believe. Some of the other messages that we receive are "What choice do I have", "If I didn't do it someone else would have", "I didn't want to cause trouble", "Everyone else was doing it", "They say it's good for you" or "They say it works", "They" say a lot of stuff that's not true...... and a lot of us give ourselves no other choice but to believe it...
