We are so accustomed to disguise ourselves to others that in the end we become disguised to ourselves.
- Francois De La Rochfoucauld

I don't know who I am, only what I've been told to believe about myself and my past. It a long and winding road, as the song goes.

Hi Seeker, I don't know who you are so I can't tell you anything about you.  Here's an idea though ... seeing as Halloween has just passed why don't you just imagine yourself wearing certain masks or painting your face with colored clay, wearing head dresses, dancing around a campfire on a full moon.  I know it sounds crazy but it's also called art and maybe creativity is what it takes to help you both lose your past and find yourself.

Well that does sound a bit crazy but I have to admit that it's kind of appealing. It sounds a lot more interesting than doing mundane, predictable thngs in life because that was expected of me. I guess dancing around with a painted face would at least let me try different things out and maybe uncover another side of me.

Hey Seeker, yes it is a long road but as someone told me once "time will pass anyway" so either choose to look back at life in a few years and see the same person or decide what you want to do and be the person you want to become.
