George Bernard Shaw's Quote

Imagination is the beginning of creation.
- George Bernard Shaw

The way I interpret this is that if we can focus on something that we want to experience or bring into our lives then we can begin to see it coming into creation. I was given an example of this once. The person I was with asked me to look around the room and focus on everything that was red. I did so and then she told me to close my eyes. I was confident that I had remembered the red stuff but then she asked me to name as much as I could that was green. The lesson being that we are accustomed to seeing that which we are used to looking for which is basically what we've been told to look for in life based on who or what influenced our belief system. By knowing what we want instead of what others have wanted for us is the imagination part and when we know that we choose green instead of looking for blue by default. We can start creating more of what we do want to see.
